Extract subtitles to SRT

Upload a video with embedded text subtitles and download them as a standard .srt file that works with every player.

Why is SRT not offered for my video?

The video has no text-based subtitle track. Bitmap subtitles (from DVDs/Blu-rays) can't be converted to text without OCR, which is not supported.

Which subtitle formats can be extracted?

Text-based tracks: SRT, ASS/SSA, MOV_TEXT (MP4) and WebVTT. The first subtitle track in the file is extracted.
